This meeting interrogates a set of issues related to literary and cultural blogs in Algeria, which have witnessed a notable increase in recent years. These blogs range from collective platforms managed by literary groups to individual initiatives undertaken by creative writers. By hosting a selection of bloggers, our objective is to examine the current state of these blogs, their founders, the contexts of their emergence, their trajectories of development, and the strategies through which they position themselves within the literary field.

In a broader context, the current global health situation constitutes an exceptional condition that compels a deeper discussion of the symposium’s central problematic. The pandemic has generated a markedly different reality characterized by physical distancing as a preventive measure, which in turn necessitated an unprecedented reliance on diverse electronic media. Consequently, we aspire to trace the impact of this context on cultural and reading activities associated with blogs, particularly given that most conventional cultural practices have shifted into the virtual sphere.
