Abstract
The phenomenon of violence is inseparable from any form of social life; it is present in all societies, regardless of their organizational structure, and is influenced by them to a certain extent. However, when violence crosses a threshold of intolerance, it becomes a frightening indicator of dysfunction and requires systematic investigation because it becomes a source of instability. This necessitates its analysis and the drawing of conclusions that allow for understanding the phenomenon and identifying its indicators, thus paving the way for a vision capable of enabling its corrective management.

This lecture addresses the following questions: Why does violence exist in public spaces (on the street, in stadiums, and on roads)? Why does it accompany forms of protest in public health institutions, particularly in emergency departments? Are instances of violence an indicator of dysfunction? This lecture attempts to address some of these questions.
