Concept note
On the occasion of the Day proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly to honor education and its central role in human well-being and sustainable development, the Technical Committee for Education (Algerian National Commission for UNESCO) will organize a seminar in Oran. This event is supported by the Anthropology of Education and Training Systems Research Division of the Center for Research in Social and Cultural Anthropology (CRASC), with the participation of the ENS and the University of Oran 2.

The themes selected for this year will revolve around diverse issues such as education as a right, a public good, an investment, and a renewable resource. The presentations will demonstrate the multiple pathways that enable citizens today to learn not only to "be" and to become autonomous, but also to preserve our most precious common good: the planet. To achieve this, it will be necessary to build "shared prosperity" by considering the underprivileged, while also promoting peace in these times of global instability.
