He has led several major socio-historical research projects, notably serving as the Principal Investigator for studies on local business elites and their relationship with power, women's political representation in Algeria, and a project (2023–2026) focusing on charities and social work in colonial Oran (1900–1950). His work also includes collaborative research on university systems, social change, and the critical mapping of Algerian history and memory.
