abstract

This book comprises a collection of studies that highlight various aspects of material and immaterial heritage in Algeria. Some of these articles were gathered from study days organized by the research team at the National Center of Research in Social and Cultural Anthropology in Oran, including topics such as: heritage, cultural practices, and the arts in motion. The significance of research in these areas is firmly established in terms of its contribution to scientific and academic knowledge. Therefore, it is essential to focus specifically on its social and civic benefits, as it strengthens social bonds and uncovers deep historical roots: "Cultural heritage is the space of consolidation for all communities, its standard, its nucleus, and its stronghold."
