abstract

The Baccalaureate: A Diploma to be Redefined as a Framework of Core Competencies " is a project that builds upon research conducted within the "Anthropology of Education and Training Systems" division of the CRASC. This study addresses a fundamental question: does the Baccalaureate certify knowledge or competencies? While the curriculum framework, the secondary school syllabus, and the official guidelines for the French Baccalaureate exam advocate for the acquisition and mastery of competencies, the exam itself, as currently designed, tests knowledge rather than skills.
