Engaged Generations & National Movements : The 20th Century in the Maghreb

The conference held in tribute to Professor Mahfoud Kaddache, an eminent historian of the Algerian national movement—the proceedings of which are gathered here—aimed to align with a generational analysis perspective. This is understood here as a space-time of referenciation and identification, defined by the same ideological breath and marked by a founding moment (Mannheim 1953): that of the irrepressible movement for the emancipation of peoples under colonial rule.
