abstract

In recent years, a new line of thinking has emerged regarding the teaching and learning of literature in schools and universities, particularly with a view to ensuring coherence across the different stages of higher education. Literature is, however, essential for acquiring the subject-specific skills required for certain professions and specialisms: media, publishing, culture, communication, etc. It is, therefore, essential to foster a multidisciplinary dynamic between educational stakeholders, including academics, sociologists of education, textbook designers, and contemporary literary critics, to re-evaluate pedagogical goals, objectives, and frameworks. Recent literary studies continue to examine the role of new approaches in literary didactics. These studies analyse the impact of effectively utilising emerging Francophone and non-Francophone works, 'popular genres' (such as detective novels, romance, and comics), onomastics, translation, and comparative literature, as well as their place within the pedagogical configurations of both national and foreign languages.
